Singing in Paris, Champagne and Chartres

We offer you the chance to visit Paris, to sing in symbolic, prestigious veues with history where the acoustics will highlight your choirs’ abilities. You can also meet other local choirs and share your passion for music through the universal language of song. Not far from Paris is Reims, capital of the Champagne region and also Chartres with its multifaceted cathedral that you can also visit on this trip.

Program 6 days / 5 nights

Day 1 – PARIS

Arrival in Paris at the end of the morning. Welcome and check in at hotel.
Free time for lunch
In the afternoon a guided tour of Paris and its emblematic monuments: Opera Garnier, Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Invalides, Place de la Concorde, Madeleine Church, Champs Elysees Avenue, Arc de Triomphe, Trocadéro and Eiffel Tower.
Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 – HISTORICAL PARIS

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning devoted to the visit of the old quarter of Paris around the Ile de la Cité. Guided tour of Notre-Dame cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic art.

Possibility of an ourdoor performance at the bedside of the cathedral. Continuation with the guided visit of the Sainte-Chapelle, built by Saint Louis from 1242 to 1248.
Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, guided tour of the Louvre Museum and an hour’s boat ride on the Seine. Return to the hotel.
Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3 – PARIS – REIMS

Breakfast at hotel.

Free morning to make the visit of your choice or to make purchases.
Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, public concert in the sumptuous setting of the church of La Madeleine or Saint Augustin. At the end of the day, departure for Reims.
Dinner and overnight in Reims.

Day 4 – REIMS

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning, guided tour of Reims with Notre Dame Cathedral, where the Kings of France were crowned. Aubade in the Cathedral where the acoustics will seduce you. Then visit the Palace of Tau, where the Kings of France lodged during their coronation.
Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the Basilica of Saint Rémi where Clovis was baptized around 500 AD. You can sing some songs here in this magical setting.
Visit of a Champagne cellar (Pommery with its 18 km of underground galleries – or – Mumm, another prestigious address with the depths of its cellars almost 2000 years old) followed by a Champagne tasting.
In the late afternoon, meet a local choir with whom you will share an informal concert followed by a welcome drink.
Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 – REIMS – CHARTRES

Breakfast at hotel and departure for Chartres. Visit of the Cathedral registered in the patrimony of Unesco and famous for its magnificent stained-glass windows. Possibility of giving a concert in the Cathedral.
Free time for lunch.
Free afternoon. The magnificent evening “Chartres en Lumières” (April to the end of September)
Dinner and accommodation in Chartres.
